Everest Base Camp Heli Trek Itinerary
Everest base camp heli trek begins with a spectacular flight to Lukla after staying two nights in Kathmandu. From Lukla, we will walk past the dense forest of pine and rhododendrons in Sagarmatha National Park and pass through small ethnic villages to the Sherpa Land of Namche Bazaar. We have scheduled 2 nights at Namche Bazar and 2 nights at Dingboche for acclimatization purposes. On these days, we climb high and sleep low allowing our bodies to adapt to the increasing altitude. We will follow the classic Everest Base Camp trekking route to the Base Camp via Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorekshep. We then move further to Kalapathar for the unobstructed view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and surrounding mountains.
From Kalapathar, we will retrace to Gorekshep for breakfast and board a helicopter flight all the way back to Kathmandu the same day instead of walking all the way to Lukla to catch a plane flight back. The helicopter tour flight also allows us to witness the Himalayas from a closer view and high above the grounds. We offer Charter flights from Everest to Kathmandu for individuals, families, friends, and corporate. We also have another trip which combines Everest and Gokyo Region with a helicopter flight back to Kathmandu, have a look at our Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lakes Heli Trek
What makes Everest Base Camp Heli Trek different?
Instead of walking all the way down to Lukla to catch a flight back to Kathmandu, we will board a helicopter flight back to Kathmandu from Gorekshep. All-inclusive Everest base camp trek and Kalapathar with proper acclimatization in just 2 weeks. Get the best alternative to the normal Everest Base Camp Trek. Being a short trek in Everest, this package is for those who have a very limited time for exploration. Since you will be flying to Kathmandu from Gorekshep on a helicopter, you can avoid the same returning trail back to Lukla. You will be saved from the peril of frequent flight cancellations in Lukla due to unpredictable weather. Highland Expeditions make complete arrangements for logistics for a comfortable trek.

Reviews
My wife and I recently joined Highland Expeditions for a Everest Basecamp helitrek for our honeymoon. From the start to the end of our contact with Highland Expeditions, we had excellent communication. Every interaction we had with Passang and the team before, during and after our trek showed at its core that Highland Expeditions has trekking as its passion.
The places chosen to stay at were clearly well established, clean, homely, warm and welcoming. The pace of the trek was perfect for ensuring good acclimatisation and whilst pushing us exertion wise, was entirely appropriate for the trek at hand.
Aakash, our guide for our trek, is incomparable, and is one of the core reasons why we felt so valued and looked after during our trek. No question was too stupid, seeing his interactions with other guides along the trek demonstrated how respected he was, and his interactions with the teahouses we stayed at demonstrated how much embedded in the communities along the trek route that he and Highland Expeditions were. By the end of the trek we felt we had become true friends with him and only want to keep in contact with him if we can in the future.
Passang, the managing director, is a kind, efficacious and efficient individual who bent over backwards, and was always trying to make sure our experience was the best it could be. He is creating a company and establishing both himself and his team as a leader in this field. His dedication and hard work shows in the experiences he creates and the respect he is garnering.
Talking to the team throughout the trek, it is clear that Adventure tourism such as the EBC trek is a crowded field. What is clear with Highland, is that they are a crucial part of the scene of raising awareness of how to preserve nepali values at the heart of trekking along this route, how important it is to recognise and include the communities found along the trek route in forming future plans for expanding trekking in Nepal, and how important local porters and guides are.
I cannot speak more highly of the team at every level of the organisation. If we do wish to trek again in Nepal we will be sure to use Highland Expeditions again.
Partnering with Highland Expeditions was the best decision I made to achieve the goal of EBC trek for 2023. Passang, the Director was responsive and engaged in the planning process. The on the ground logistics were perfectly coordinated and effortless for me. Our guides, BB and Prasant were experience, kind, caring and really personalized the experience. Our success was their success. In addition our porters, Anil and Yam did an outstanding job. Our bags were at the T houses waiting for us. I encourage anyone doing this adventure to hire Highland Expeditions!
