Kanchenjunga North & South Base Camp Trek

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is a delightful adventure to the foot of the world’s third-highest Kanchenjunga Mountain (8586m) that takes us through the serene wilderness with fantastic mountain views.

Kanchenjunga North & South Base Camp Trek route progresses through the colourful rhododendron and pine forest in the remote land where we will be warmly welcomed by the locals. Explore the rich culture in the local villages and conquer the high passes for close-up views of peaks and mountains.

Located amid Nepal and Sikkim, Kanchenjunga is among the least frequented trails where life is untouched by modernity. Also known as Around Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek, it offers the best natural and cultural endeavours of Eastern Nepal.

Highland Expeditions offers 27- days itinerary during which you will visit both Kanchenjunga South Base Camp at Ramche and Kanchenjunga North Base Camp at Pang Pema. Located at an altitude of 5143m, Pangpema is the highest point of Kanchenjunga North and South Base Camp Trek.

Kanchenjunga trek is a challenging grade trek that demands more energy and determination. Trekking can get challenging sometimes. We will move through sub-tropical plains to the base of the mountain through the land that has little or no settlement. The altitude variation is significant.

What makes Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek different?

This is one of the very few treks that take us to both Base Camps of one mountain in a single package. This is not just regular trekking. So, this is the trek that you would like to go for if you are looking for something different in terms of the trekking experience.

Conquer the High Passes of Miring La (4210m), Tamo La (4500m) and Sinion La (4500m) and enjoy the panoramic views of Kabru peak, Everest, Makalu and Kumbakarna Mountain Range.

Important Note: Your safety is of imperative concern while traveling with Highland Expeditions. Please take care to note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to your safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather or health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The trek leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.
