Thank you for making my dream come true! Indeed a very well planned trip with minute details th0ught of. The team of guides surely know their tasks very well. Though the hike was not an easy one, the guides made it easier and set a decent pace for us. The team had taken every possible step to ensure our comfort, safety and that the objetives of the trip is acheived. A very much anticipated trip has ended really well, thanks to your team.

My dad and I had the opportunity to trek to EBC with the incredible support and guidance of the Highland Expeditions team.

When looking for a company to book our trek with, we immediately felt comfortable and confident in Highland due to the immense professionalism and timely responses to all of our communications. As this was our first time travelling to Nepal and Asia, we were bound to have many questions which were all answered by Passang as we prepared for our trip.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, it was clear that we would be well taken care of throughout the entire trip. From transportation to tours of Kathmandu before our trek, everything was well-planned and went incredibly smoothly. The excellent communication that we experienced prior to our arrival continued throughout our time in Nepal.

In regard to our trek, we have nothing but positive things to say. Accommodations, food, itinerary, etc were all excellent. Everything was managed so well and we never had to worry about meals or booking rooms. Our guide, Prasant, was absolutely incredible. His knowledge of the region, the people, and his ability to make you feel safe and comfortable are unmatched. It was meant to be that he was with us for this trek. His patience, support, and encouragement throughout our 12 days in the Everest region made the trip so memorable. We would not have been able to do this trek if it wasn’t for him and the Highland team. Our porter BB was also incredible and so supportive. He radiates positivity that is contagious – even after 20km days!

I’ve just come back from an amazing 2-week Luxury Everest Base Camp trek with Highland Expeditions and can’t recommend them highly enough! From Passang’s quick and detailed responses to my initial emails to his unbelievable organisational skills, everything was seamless and faultless, right from the pickup at Kathmandu airport.
The guiding team and porters (led by Aakash) did a superb job keeping us healthy, safe and well-informed, all done extremely professionally and with a great attitude. Their hard work made the trek that much easier and so much more enjoyable.

The trek was better than I could have ever imagined from start to finish! Very professional and kind! Sleeping at EBC was the highlight of my trip I think, but everyday was amazing! I’m already planning my next trek and would only go with Highland Expeditions!!

Nathan and four friends had an incredible experience.
Passang picked up Nathan from the airport at midnight, which led it off to a great start. “We were then greeted in Lukla after our helicopter ride by Phunu and Pimba….. Phunu our lead guide is an amazing leader and we could not have completed this safely without him. Not only was he a great guide, but he also taught us lots about the local culture and native terms. Unreal experience and I will be back to visit our new friends and complete more hikes with Highland/Phunu and Passang.”

Paula (my wife) and I have just completed the Luxury Everest Base Camp trek and have nothing but praise for the Highland Expeditions team. From the help and advice Passang gave us in planning and tailoring the trip and his superb organisational skills throughout, to Aakash as lead guide for his knowledge, clear guidance, on trek practical solutions and both expectation management and support for individuals as the need arose, to the assistant guides and porters who worked so hard to make our life easier and our time on the trek so enjoyable. What an experience – life long memories and new friends made!

Not sure how to write in brief so giving a detailed review of my EBC trip in April 2023,

1. Email communications with Passang: Being in management for over a decade I have never come across such precise, calming, assuring, and detailed email communication from Passang. His email itself answers all your doubts. questions, and worries as they are superbly tailored to your requirements/expectations.

2. Cost: Looking at the overall arrangements, right from pick-up from Kathmandu Airport to drop back to it every penny was worth its price and still looked to be very reasonable and affordable even for middle-class family members.

3. Arrangements: Right from a stay in Kathmandu Guest House to the Base camp, accommodation, breakfast, lunch & Dinner were perfectly arranged and managed even during our peak season when people struggled and raced to find rooms in Tea houses during the trek.

4. Guides / Porters: Lead guide Aakash made sure we all were safe and in good spirits during the climb and also made necessary changes to make sure we all were been watched by at least an assistant guide while trekking. He was brilliant in his people-handling and situation-handling skills during the trek. Assistant guides Mimma and Jeet were very grounded, simple, and humble superhumans who would do anything to make your journey safe and smooth, right from carrying your backpack to even carrying you if required that too with a humble smile was their nature. Every porter who was again a superhuman carrying at least 3 times the weight of the language on their heads and completing the trek ahead of you with some even in basic trainers is beyond appreciation.

Overall, a massive THANK YOU to HIghland Expeditions Team to make my EBC 2023 trek a Lifetime memory to cherish !!!!

We had the pleasure of joining Highland Expeditions for the HeliTrek EBC trip in November 2022. The trek to base camp was a great physical and mental challenge but was made enjoyable and forever memorable due to the smooth leadership of our guides and coordinators. The local knowledge they had to share was incredible and we received more than an incredible hike, we also had a brief immersion into the wonderful Nepalese culture.

Highland Expeditions were excellent. We had a month-long trip through the remote Rolwaling valley and from the porters to the Sherpas they were excellent. Highest quality food, advice and service throughout. I doubt we could have found a better company in Nepal and would not hesitate to use them again.

We did a 3-week epic, challenging and at times, extreme, trek along the Rolwalling Valley, climbing Yolang Ri and crossing the Tashi Laptcha Pass. Highland Exp looked after us incredibly well providing for all our needs. We had an amazing team from every experienced guide, to the kitchen team and porters all of whom were both delightful and hard-working. We highly recommend Highland Expeditions for their professionalism, friendliness and ability to lead safely and knowledgeably over some challenging parts of Nepal.

We have had a fantastic trip (Everest Basecamp trek), for sure thanks to Highland Expeditions! As well before as during the trip Passang and his team have done their utmost to prepare and run everything as smoothly and conveniently as possible. Their experience and expertise are of the highest level! Would recommend them to everyone!

What an outstanding company. Not paying through the nose, I was a little unsure what to expect but these guys were amazing. The comfort, professionalism and safety were second to none. And their schedule was so smart, it did everything to get us to the summit. Well done guys, see you again soon
