This rapidly evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) has imposed an unsettling, fluid situation upon the travel community around the world.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the trip suspension and we are thankful to all our guest for choosing to postpone the trip for future dates instead of cancelling the trip. For all the new guest who has booked their trip with us for 2021 and 2022, we thank you for choosing Highland Expeditions.

Tourism in Nepal has been resumed since Oct 2020 for the purpose of trekking and mountaineering. The government of Nepal mandated quarantine and other arrival protocols for all the incoming tourists. In spring 2021, the government of Nepal eased some restrictions in a bid to boost tourism. We are looking forward to being back in the mountains for the upcoming autumn 2021 season as well keeping the safety priority.

Your safety is our utmost priority and as we learn more about the Virus, we are adapting and improving our safety measures to provide you all a wonderful holiday experience in our part of the world. While the team here at Highland Expeditions still aims to maintain a “business as usual” approach, we are making significant changes to our daily operations and booking conditions to account for a situation that is far from normal.

The government of Nepal has introduced safety protocols and we are proud to announce that we will implement robust safety measures on all our trips aligned with safety protocols of Government of Nepal, WHO and related authorities.

With COVID-19 vaccines beginning to be rolled out in several spots across the world including Nepal, we remain optimistic that a return to travel will also soon be on the horizon.
