Plans change and with many uncertainties related to travelling abroad due to COVID-19, we are offering a flexible booking policy to provide you with complete ease of mind. Book your desired trip by paying a minimal deposit and pay the balance amount only after your arrival in Kathmandu. If in case you are not able to join the trip or we are forced to suspend the trip due to safety issues, we will provide you with 100% credit of your deposit to be used on the future departure dates. Your deposit will not be a loss and there will not be any charges for rescheduling the trip. When you book with us you have the flexibility to change your travel plans. Kindly notify us about the changes to your travel plans and we will accommodate your request accordingly.

We are closely monitoring the situation around the world to determine the safety and well being of all of us. You will only need to pay a small amount (20%) of the trip cost when you make a trip booking. Your booking will be confirmed after we have received a signed copy of booking form, passport copy and trip deposit. You can make the balance payment of trip after your arrival in Kathmandu by cash or card.
We accept payment through wire transfer and cards. For wire transfer, our bank details are mentioned in the payment page. As for the card payment please let us know and we will provide you with a link to our secure online payment. Please note that there will be an additional 3.5% card charge for the card payment.
Highland Expeditions is a fully licensed and bonded adventure company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This means your money is 100% protected. If in case you are not able to join the trip or we are forced to suspend the trip due to safety issues, we will provide you with 100% credit of your deposit to be used on the future departure dates. There will not be any charges for rescheduling the trip.
If we are forced to postpone the trip due to safety reasons, we will notify you promptly and help you reschedule the trip for next date. You can choose the next trip date as per your schedule and we will accommodate everything accordingly. There will not be any additional charges for rescheduling trip if we postpone the trip, however, we can not be held responsible for any charges (International flight ticket, Visa, Insurance etc.) that may arise due to trip postponement.
If you are not able to travel after making a booking, we will accommodate your request accordingly. Kindly get in touch with us at least 15 days prior to the trip date and we will postpone your trip for the next date as per your schedule. There will not be any charges for trip rescheduling and your deposit will be transferred fully for the next date. However, you will be responsible for any charges that may incur such as an international ticket, visa, insurance etc.
We highly recommend you to get travel insurance before embarking on any trips. The general rule of choosing Insurance remains the same and now, you need to make sure that your insurance offers protection against COVID as well.
We definitely do not want to adapt the trial and error method in operating our trips especially when there are too many uncertainties. Safety is always a priority and we will assess every factor carefully and mitigate the risk in every way possible. If you contract COVID-19 during the trip, you will be kept in isolation with proper care and medical attention available at that moment. We will coordinate with the local authority, tourism board and your country's embassy/consulate to take you to the nearest COVID-19 treatment facility. We will assist you with everything and in making every arrangement. You will be responsible for all the costs incurred due to this. So, make sure your insurance provides coverage against COVID-19.

2. If you book a trip with us between July 27, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. Nepal Time and December 31, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. Nepal Time (“Booking with Confidence Window”), your trip qualify for our Book with Confidence offer.
3. You are free to change your travel dates at least 15 days prior to the trip date. If you chose to change your travel plans, you will receive a 100% travel credit to be applied against your future departure dates booked by Highland Expeditions, provided that it is of the same or greater value.
4. Highland Expeditions can not be held responsible for any additional charges incurred to you (International flight, visa, insurance etc) due to your change in the travel plan.
