Choose your trip
We offer a wide range of holidays from high altitude expeditions, peak climbing, trekking and leisure tours. Please choose the trip suitable for you as per your preferences and requirements. We offer holidays suitable for people of any age group, taste, style and budget. If you would like to know more about any of our trips, please get in touch with us and we will gladly assist you in choosing a perfect trip for you.
If you didn’t find a perfect holiday for you or need to make any changes to our existing itinerary and service please let us know. At, Highland Expeditions we take great pride in being able to offer tailor-made trips/bespoke holidays especially curated as per your requirements and preferences. With Tailor-Made trips, you get to do everything that you want in your way and at your chosen date. Or you could choose one of our existing itineraries and set a departure date that suits you instead.

Select Trip Style
Once you have chosen your trip, please select the trip style. We offer fixed departure trips, private trips and tailor-made trips as per your requirements and preferences. Please select the trip style as per your preference and we will accommodate your request accordingly.
Fixed Departure Trips: If you are a solo traveller and looking for a group to join, please head over to the fixed departures date section on your desired trip page and choose the travel dates that best suit your schedule. Depending on availability, your trip will be run. The trip is guaranteed to run even if it’s only one participant. (Some trips will require a minimum of 2 participants). Choose the trip and click on your chosen trip date that matches your schedule and fill out the trip booking page. If the provided date doesn’t match your schedule then we can organize the trip on the date more suitable for you.
Private Trip:Â If you want a guided trip but prefer doing it alone or with your own group, then doing a private trip may be of your style. The trip will be a private trip, meaning it will only be you and your group with a full local support crew (Trek/Climb Leader, Assistant Guide and Porters). There will not be any additional charges for this and you can also schedule the trip date as per your schedule. We will accommodate your request and run the trip accordingly.
Tailor-Made Trips:  While we have a wide range of holidays catering for the needs of all ages, groups and solo travellers; if you are looking to do something different and want to make any changes to the given itinerary or services, please let us know and we will accommodate your request. We take great pride in being able to customize each of our client’s adventures as per their preferences and requirements. Kindly get in touch with us with your request and we will tailor the trip for you as per your need.
Making a Booking
We have made the booking process as simple as we can. Once you have chosen the trip and trip style, please visit the trip page on our site for further information too. We highly suggest you book the trip at least 6 months prior to your desired travel date in order to avoid the non-availability of an international flight.
Fixed Departure Trips:  Please select your chosen travel date from our fixed departure dates on the trip page. Simply click on the chosen date and you will be taken to our online booking form. Please fill the form and submit it when you are ready. A tentative booking will be made after we have received the online form and you will be required to fill trip booking form which should be signed and sent back to us via email attachment. Your trip will be confirmed once we have received the signed copy of the booking form and a trip deposit (20% of the trip cost)
Private Trip: For booking a private trip, please download the trip booking form and send us the signed copy of the form via email attachment. A tentative booking will be made after we have received the booking form and Your trip will be confirmed once we have received the signed copy of the booking form, passport copy and a non-refundable trip deposit (20% 0f the trip cost).
Tailor-Made Trip: For the tailor-made trip, please fill out the form at Tailor Made Trips with your requirements and preferences mentioned. We will tailor the trip as per your request and once the trip has been tailored as per your request, we will email you the scanned booking form for the trip booking process. A tentative booking will be made after we have received the scanned booking form with your signature. Your trip will be confirmed once we have received the signed copy of the booking form and trip deposit.

A provisional booking will be accepted after we have received the online form and we will hold it for two (2) weeks giving you time to promote, send us the signed copy of the booking form and make a deposit payment. We will send you the scanned booking form to fill out and an invoice for the amount to be deposited. If we do not receive the form and deposit payment by the date as mentioned in the invoice, we reserve the right to cancel the bookings. We will deem that you are no longer interested and we will proceed to accept other confirmation on the dates.
Deposit Payment
When you are ready to confirm the booking, just submit to us the Trip booking form together with the initial deposits and passport copy of each participant. To confirm the booking, you are required to pay 20% of the total cost as a trip deposit. This deposit/booking fee will be forfeited and is non-refundable in the event of any cancellation. Your booking will be confirmed by email after we have received the booking form together with the initial deposits. For payment method, we accept wire transfer and card payment. Please note that an additional 3.5% charge will be levied (as imposed by the bank) on the total amount if you are paying via card. View our payment information page for more details on payment.
Trip Confirmation
Once we have received the signed copy of the booking form, passport copy and trip deposit we will send you a trip confirmation letter. Your booking will be confirmed after we have received all the details. Your booked trip will be guaranteed to run
Final payment
The balance payment of the trip can be made before or after your arrival in Kathmandu at your convenience. You can make the balance payment either by cash or card.
