On 24 September 2025, a total of seven climbers (three team members and four guides) reached the summit of Manaslu, the eighth-highest peak in the world at 8,163 meters. The team pushed from Camp 4 and arrived at the summit between 04:20 AM to 09:00 AM on 24 Sep, 2025 (Nepal Time)

The list of summiters for Manaslu Expedition 2025 are following:

1. Miranda Lee, Female, Canada (No O2)
2. Omer Abraham, Male, Israel
3. Magnus R, Male, Norway
4. Dawa Hyolmo (IFMGA Guide)

One team member, Veronique, did not continue past Camp 2 as she was not feeling well. Our guide, Sangey, accompanied her safely back to Base Camp. Ensuring the health and safety of all climbers is always our priority.

Climb Overview

The Manaslu Expedition 2025 team arrived in Kathmandu on 1 September 2025. After two days of preparations and final checks, they departed from Kathmandu on 3 September for the approach trek to Manaslu Base Camp. Over the next week, the team trekked via Larkya La Pass, reaching Manaslu Base Camp at 4,900 meters on 10 September.

Mansalu Base Camp 2025

On Sept 12, Climbing training was conducted at Base Camp, led by our guide Dawa (IFMGA), to ensure every team member was fully prepared.

Climbing Training

On 13 September, the team conducted the Puja ceremony at Base Camp, a traditional blessing before moving to higher camps. Two rotations to higher camps followed, allowing the climbers to acclimatize and prepare for the summit attempt.

The final summit push began on 21 September:

• 21 Sept: Base Camp (4,900m) to Camp 2 (6,250m/20,500ft)
• 22 Sept: Camp 2 to Camp 3 (6,800m/22,300ft)
• 23 Sept: Camp 3 to Camp 4 (7,450m/24,440ft)
• 23 Sept night – 24 Sept morning: Camp 4 to Summit (8,163m)

Miranda, Omer, and Magnus reached the summit between 4:20 AM and 9:00 AM on 24 September. After spending time at the top, they began their descent and have safely returned to Camp 4. The whole team is expected to reach Base Camp by tomorrow.

Miranda Lee reached the summit without supplementary oxygen, guided by Man Bahadur Tamang. Her achievement reflects careful preparation, pacing, and experience at high altitude.

Conclusion

The Manaslu expedition 2025 is now coming to a close. The team will depart Base Camp on 26 September and return to Kathmandu, completing another carefully planned and successful climb. This expedition adds to Highland Expeditions continued record of organized high-altitude climbs and prepares the team for future expeditions in the Himalayas.
