The Nepal government has chosen to raise the visa fees for foreigners visiting Nepal. The decision of the government to raise the visa fees for tourists will become effective from July 17, according to the Department of Immigration (DoI).
According to the new amendments on the Visa fees, foreigners visiting Nepal on a 15-day multiple entries tourist visa will now have to pay $30, up from existing $25. Those acquiring 30-day multiple entries tourist visa will now have to pay $50, while those visiting Nepal on a 90-day multiple entries tourist visa will have to pay $125.

Visa fee for those visiting Nepal on a 30-day non-visitor visa has been set at $30.
According to the division of immigration, the visa extension fee (within the valid visa period) has been raised to $3 every day from $2 every day. Correspondingly, visa extension charge (with multiple entries) has been raised to an extra $25 from an extra $20. In like manner, the late charge on visa extension (after visa termination) has been raised to $5 every day from $3 every day.
The Department of Immigration illuminates that the last time the Nepal visa fees was changed was 10 years prior.
