Nepal is home to the best climbing, trekking and mountaineering on earth but 2015 was not a good year for Nepal’s tourism as the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on April 2015 left a huge impact on a country leaving many people dead and historical sites turned into rubble. As Nepal’s economy is stimulated by tourism, the rebuilding, repairing, safety assessment work began immediately without wasting much time. Even though many trekking regions, the capital city(Kathmandu) were unaffected from the earthquake, many travellers postponed their trips and many even cancelled with no sign of returning to Nepal and to its beautiful Himalayas but the country welcomed quite numbers of travellers in Autumn 2015 regardless of that tragic moment and they all had their adventure of the lifetime and returned back with memories that will be cherished forever.
As time passed and we welcomed 2016, here we have mentioned some of our best-selling trips with a brief introduction for you to have a look and plan for 2016. Thus, you can also choose different holiday packages that combine pleasant walking through moderately strenuous route into the heart of cultural and spiritual abode from our website trip archives.
A Demanding yet Beautiful Adventure on the Manaslu Circuit
A Demanding yet Beautiful Adventure on the Manaslu Circuit
We did the Manaslu circuit trek with Highland Expeditions and were very happy with the excellent organisation of the whole trip and the professionalism and friendliness of everyone involved – from management to guide, porter and drivers. The trek was very demanding and challenging, but also stunningly beautiful. Our wonderful guide Angrita was always helpful and patient when we were struggling and looked after us really well. Porter Angnuru took very good care of our luggage while also being incredibly fast. I highly recommend booking any Nepal trip with Highland expeditions. Hopefully, we will be back for another trek with them one day!
Unforgettable First Trek
Unforgettable First Trek
My friends and I, 3 brave ladies from Malaysia did the Upper Mustang Trek with Highland Expeditions in mid-Oct 2019.
Our guide Kunga and 2 porters were very friendly and very helpful.
We were well-taken care.
This was my first experience of trekking in my lifetime and felt proud for myself that I make it and it’s going to be an unforgettable lifetime memory for me.
Thank you Kunga, Passang and the 2 porters.
